Janeane Bernstein

Janeane BernstienJaneane is originally from NYC and Connecticut. She studied acting and voice-over in Boston at CP Casting. She moved to SoCal in 2000, and began studying voice-over with Ned Lott, Andrea Romano, Terri Douglas, Brian Nefsky, Beverly Bremers, & Patrick Fraley. See her resume for a completed listing of her acting teachers. She is currently a member of SAG and AFTRA, and the SAG Conservatory where she takes a variety of classes and workshops. She has been a weekly contributor on ChickChat Radio, a nationally syndicated XM satellite show, featuring a Mom rocker/musical performer each week from Mamapalooza, the international festival of Moms in the arts.

For the past four years, she has been Regional Coordinator of “Mamapalooza Rocks the OC!” producing a Mom music festival each May in Orange County, CA. Her 2008 festival was held at the UCI campus and featured grammy-nominated artist Meredith Brooks performing her latest Children’s CD, “If I Could Be…”

Janeane spent three years at University of California’s independent radio station KUCI 88.9fmproducing and hosting her own radio show featuring women in the arts “Moms Rockin’ the House,”Radio. She has written and produced numerous PSAs, and promoted KUCI throughout Orange County at several events such as Taste of Ladera, Mamapalooza, and Parenting Orange County Magazine’s expos and cruises.

Summer 2008, she launched the Momz Rock the House Show,with the artistic talent of designer and mommy rocker Judy Davids of the Detroit band www.mydolsThe Mydols. Momzrockthehouse.com is a podcast show featuring women artists and industry experts talking about everything from their careers in music, to tips on going green and the challenges of getting your kids to eat healthy.

Most recently, she interviewed Kathy Valentine of the Go Gos, Taylor Dane, Emily Wagner of Motherhoodlum, Tish Ciravolo founder of Daisy Rock Guitars, Judy Davids of the Mydols and grammy-nominated artist Meredith Brooks who performed live at the UCI Campus for Bernstein’s “Mamapalooza Rocks the OC!” Festival in May 2008. As of 2011, Janeane can be heard on two weekly shows: OC Talk Radio and 90.1fm KBPK. .

She is represented by Animation Voices in LA, a division of Solid Talent for Voice-overs, by The Heyman Talent Agency and Character Talent and Associates.

Janeane studied TV, Radio and Film at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications. She holds a doctorate from Boston University’s Media and Technology program. She frequently hosts and emcees events throughout Orange County.
